Margherita Bellanca

Welcome to my website!

I am an applied economist and post-doc researcher at the Institut de Ciència i Tecnologia Ambientals of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (ICTA-UAB) in the ERC CLIMGROW project.

I obtained my PhD in April 2024 from Ca' Foscari University of Venice, under the supervision of Alessandro Spiganti and Enrica De Cian.

I have a background in Development Economics, for which I received a bachelor's and master's degree from the University of Florence. During my studies, I became passionate about climate change issues, particularly climate change negotiations and mitigation policies. 

Today, my research is mainly on the political economy of climate change mitigation, with a focus on inequalities, public support and multilevel governance.
